Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how hired.rocks (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you join our pre-launch waitlist at hired.rocks.

Who we are

hired.rocks is a pre-launch project. The waitlist and this website are run by the team building hired.rocks. Full company details will be published here once we officially launch. In the meantime, if you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [[email protected]].

What we collect

When you sign up to our waitlist, we collect:

We do not collect names, phone numbers, payment information, or any sensitive personal data at this stage.

For California residents, the categories of personal information we collect are: Identifiers (email address) and Internet or network activity (IP address, browser data). We collect this directly from you and automatically through your interaction with the site. We retain it for the purposes described below.

We use your email address for one purpose: to send you a single notification when hired.rocks launches.

For users in the EU, UK, and similar jurisdictions, our legal basis under the GDPR is your consent, given when you click “Notify me.” You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).

Technical data is processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and understanding aggregate signup volume.

How long we keep your data

We keep your email address until we send you the launch notification, after which we will either:

If we have not launched within 24 months of your signup, we will delete your email and ask you to re-subscribe if you’re still interested.

Who we share it with

To run the waitlist, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers — for example, an email delivery service to send you the launch notification, and a hosting provider to operate the website. These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual data-protection terms.

Some of these providers may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for international transfers.

We will publish a full list of our subprocessors once hired.rocks launches.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This has been our practice for the past 12 months and we have no plans to change it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have certain rights over your personal data. We honor these rights for all users regardless of location, where practical.

If you are in the EU, UK, or similar jurisdictions

Under the GDPR and equivalent laws, you have the right to:

If you are in the United States

Depending on your state of residence (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, and others with comprehensive privacy laws), you have the right to:

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information through the waitlist.

How to exercise your rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [[email protected]]. We will verify your identity (typically by confirming you control the email address on file) and respond within 30 days (45 days for US requests, as permitted by law).

You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, where applicable law permits.

Cookies

The waitlist page uses only essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this page. If this changes after launch, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

Children’s privacy

hired.rocks is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
